ai16z gains as Binance announces AI16Z to ELIZAOS token swap

    ai16z-price-gains

    • AI16Z price has spiked more than 11% in the past 24 hours to hit $0.069.
    • Gains come amid Binance support for AI16Z to ELIZAOS token swap.
    • ElizaOS is an AI project that rebranded from ai16z in January.

AI16Z price is up by more than 11% in the past 24 hours and currently ranks among the altcoins defying broader cryptocurrency market downside pressure.

In the last 24 hours, altcoins such as Zcash and GHOST have gained as the privacy-coin narrative persists.

ai16z has also gained and is among the digital tokens that are looking to thrive on the back of major network support.

Binance to support AI16Z to ELIZAOS token swap

One of the likely catalysts for ai16z price in the past 24 hours appears to be Binance’s endorsement of the AI16Z to ELIZAOS token swap.

The exchange, the world’s largest by trading volume, is set to suspend AI16Z trading on its Binance Alpha platform on November 6, 2025.

According to details, the brief halt in trading will allow the exchange to facilitate the transition.

Specifically, Binance will support the token swap at the ratio of 1 AI16Z to 6 ELIZAOS.

“At 2025-11-06 10:00 (UTC), deposits of AI16Z tokens to Binance Alpha 2.0 Accounts will be suspended. Users should ensure they leave sufficient time for their AI16Z deposits to be fully processed prior to this time. After the event is complete, deposits of AI16Z will no longer be supported,” Binance wrote.

Trading of the elizaOS (ELIZAOS) token will resume at 2 pm UTC on Nov. 7, with users also able to deposit to their accounts.

    What is ElizaOS?

ElizaOS began as the memecoin ai16z (AI16Z) inspired by the tech venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z).

However, it has since transitioned to become one of the leading agentic operating systems, rebranding from ai16z to ElizaOS in January 2025.

The project’s token is issued on Solana’s network and allows for ElizaOS governance, AI agents payments and ecosystem rewards.

ElizOS leverages decentralized governance via its decentralized autonomous organization model and features AI-driven governance.

    AI16Z price outlook

The token is also up amid a broader bullish outlook for artificial intelligence-related cryptocurrencies, with AI16Z price up more than 17% this past week.

Bulls have pushed this token from intraday lows of $0.055 to above $0.069.

If bullish momentum holds, the altcoin could target October 2025 highs above $0.10.

    AI16Z chart by CoinMarketCap

Daily volume is up 49% to over $62 million. Meanwhile, AI16Z has a total supply of 1.1 billion tokens, with a market cap of $76.4 million.

Given, some coins are seeing fresh momentum despite Bitcoin’s crash to lows of $106k on Thursday.

While the benchmark digital asset has since recovered to around $110,000 in early trading Friday, it is in the red on the day.

Top alts Ethereum, XRP and Solana are also battling as bulls attempt to reclaim key price zones.

  • Aerodrome price surges 10% after Animoca Brands announces strategic investment

Aerodrome price surges 10% after Animoca Brands announces strategic investment

    Aerodrome Finance Price

    • Aerodrome Finance price eyes breakout above $1.
    • This comes after Animoca Brands announced it market-acquired and staked AERO tokens.
    • Market sentiment and the institutional confidence may propel Aerodrome Finance price to $1.34.

Aerodrome Finance (AERO) price is up amid bullish momentum.

The token gained as web3 and gaming investor Animoca Brands makes a strategic investment, a move that helped AERO price extend 24-hours to over 10% and briefly surpass the $1 mark.

The Animoca Brands’ backing of Aerodrome Finance adds to the growing institutional interest in the decentralized exchange project on Base.

    Animoca Brands acquires, stakes AERO

Animoca Brands announced its acquisition of AERO tokens on October 28, noting it made purchases on the open market. The company then staked all of these tokens for veAERO, demonstrating long-term commitment to Aerodrome Finance.

Buying and staking AERO aligns with Animoca’s mission to generate value in open networks and support innovative protocols.

As noted in the post above, the company sees Aerodrome as a dominant player on Base. With more than 50% of the DEX total value locked (TVL) on the blockchain, Aerodrome has become the central liquidity hub for the ecosystem.

“Aerodrome is a key component in the engine behind Base’s DeFi growth and Coinbase is making it seamless for its CEX users to trade tokens which have liquidity on DEXs such as Aerodrome thus driving more value to Aerodrome voters. With sustainable tokenomics for $AERO and the team’s ability to execute, Aerodrome has proven its standing as a key player in Base infrastructure,” Animoca Brands posted on X.

The investment follows a pattern of institutional backing for Aerodrome, including previous acquisitions by entities like Coinbase Ventures and Wintermute Ventures.

Alexander Cutler, CEO of Dromos Labs and a core contributor to Aerodrome, lauded Animoca’s move. He noted that AERO’s value is accessible only through open market participation and active involvement.

Price outlook: AERO bulls eye breakout above $1

At the time of writing, AERO is up nearly 2% on the day and has extended the uptick to 10% in the past 24 hours.

Over the past week, AERO has climbed 26%. This sees it outperform the broader market gains and form an uptrend since touching lows of $0.70 on Oct. 17.

Currently, price hovers in a key range near $0.99 as bulls aim for a decisive breakout above the $1 psychological level.

    AERO price chart by TradingView

If AERO strengthens above $1, it would allow bulls to target the next hurdles around $1.2 and then $1.34.

The RSI at 70 on the 4-hour chart nonetheless suggests gains will firmly push AERO into the overbought zone. However, the MACD points to strength for buyers as the signal line cuts above the zero line, suggesting bullish momentum.

  • US SEC announces approval of in-kind redemptions for Bitcoin and Ether ETFs

US SEC announces approval of in-kind redemptions for Bitcoin and Ether ETFs

US SEC announces approval of in-kind redemptions for Bitcoin and Ether ETFs

    • US SEC has approved “in-kind” redemptions for Bitcoin and Ether ETFs, allowing direct BTC/ETH share creation.
    • This move aligns US policy with Hong Kong, which has allowed in-kind redemptions for its crypto ETFs since their launch.
    • SEC Commissioner Mark Uyeda had previously criticized the initial cash-only approach, calling it a “troubling precedent.”

In a significant move that brings US policy more in line with international standards, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced on Wednesday that investors are now permitted to use “in-kind” redemptions for Bitcoin and Ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

This decision allows institutional traders to create and redeem ETF shares directly in the underlying crypto assets, a shift that is expected to significantly improve market efficiency.

The SEC’s decision lets institutional traders create and redeem ETF shares directly in BTC or ETH, a more efficient process that avoids the need for constant conversions to and from fiat currency.

However, for those watching the global development of crypto products, this is not a novel concept. In Hong Kong, this functionality has been available from the start.

In late 2023, during the early days of the regulatory process to bring crypto ETFs to market (which ultimately launched in April 2024), the city’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) mentioned in a circular that in-kind redemptions would be permitted.

Part of the reason for this was a technical one: in Hong Kong, ETF issuers were required to partner with licensed local crypto exchanges and use approved custody solutions.

This was not the case in Ontario, Canada, which had crypto ETFs first, nor was it initially in the US Additionally, Hong Kong did not experience the same prolonged and intense debate about the status of Ether as a potential security as was seen in the United States.

In contrast, US regulators wrestled for months with a host of concerns, including custody arrangements, anti-money laundering (AML) risks, and the potential for market manipulation.

While the SEC never issued an explicit ban on in-kind redemptions, ETF sponsors were required to remove this feature from their early filings.

The Commission initially favored a cash-only redemption model, viewing it as a more cautious first step, citing untested operational processes and uncertainty over how to securely settle large-scale crypto transfers.

Internal pushback and a ‘troubling precedent’

This cautious stance was not without its critics, even from within the SEC. SEC Commissioner Mark Uyeda publicly criticized the agency’s approach during the landmark approval of spot Bitcoin ETFs in January 2024.

He pointed out that commodity-based ETFs, such as those backed by physical gold, routinely use in-kind redemptions and questioned why crypto was being treated so differently.

Uyeda argued that the SEC had failed to adequately explain why it considered cash-only redemptions to be “non-novel,” despite the clear deviation from standard practice for similar exchange-traded products.

He warned that this lack of clear reasoning set a “troubling precedent” for future digital asset regulation. The latest decision to allow in-kind redemptions appears to be a tacit acknowledgment of these and other industry arguments.

The episode ultimately highlights how Hong Kong’s regulator managed to move with greater clarity and cohesion from the very beginning of its crypto ETF journey.

By enabling in-kind redemptions early on and pairing them with strict licensing and custody requirements, the SFC avoided the internal contradictions and policy drift that characterized the initial US rollout.

    Broader markets and industry moves

This significant regulatory development comes amidst a mixed backdrop for global markets and continued deal-making in the crypto industry.

    • BTC: Bitcoin is trading above $117,500 after a modest rebound, but its momentum remains weak.

    • The market is contending with persistent ETF outflows, profit-taking from whales near the $118,000 level, and macroeconomic headwinds, including a firm US dollar and hawkish Fed expectations, which continue to limit its upside.

    • ETH: Ethereum is trading above $3,700. “Ethereum has proven in parallel with BTC since its inception to be the second most battle-tested network, and very likely institutions now see Ether the token as a formidable asymmetric bet alongside bitcoin,” said March Zheng, General Partner of Bizantine Capital, in a note to CoinDesk.

    • Gold: Gold rebounded to $3,334 on Tuesday, snapping a four-day losing streak ahead of a key Fed meeting, as traders priced in steady rates despite weak US job data.

    • Nikkei 255: Asia-Pacific markets opened mixed as US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick confirmed that President Trump’s Friday tariff deadline will proceed as planned, with Japan’s Nikkei 225 flat at the open.

    • S&P 500: US stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the S&P 500 ending a six-day record streak as investors weighed corporate earnings, economic data, and the upcoming Fed rate decision.

In other industry news, cryptocurrency exchange Kraken is reportedly set to raise $500 million in a new funding round at a lofty $15 billion valuation, according to a report from The Information on Tuesday, which cited people familiar with the matter.

A spokesperson for Kraken declined to comment on the report. This news underscores the increased investor interest in cryptocurrency-focused companies, as the digital asset class benefits from growing regulatory clarity and rising institutional adoption.

This trend has also prompted other crypto firms, including custody startup BitGo and asset manager Grayscale, to pursue US listings.

Kraken has been actively investing capital to expand into various asset classes and grow its user base, and in March, the company announced it would acquire the futures trading platform NinjaTrader in a $1.5 billion deal.

Elon Musk announces his ‘America Party’ will embrace Bitcoin, criticizes Trump’s fiscal bill

Elon Musk announces his 'America Party' will embrace Bitcoin, criticizes Trump's fiscal bill

Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, has declared that his nascent political movement, the “America Party,” will embrace Bitcoin, stating that traditional fiat currency “is hopeless.”

This announcement, made on the social media platform X, comes amid a deepening public rift between Musk and President Donald Trump, primarily over the administration’s fiscal policies.

Musk’s plan to form the “America Party” appears to have been catalyzed by his strong opposition to President Trump’s massive tax and spending package, colloquially known as the “Big Beautiful Bill.”

Musk has harshly criticized the legislation as being fiscally irresponsible, at one point labeling it the “debt slavery bill.”

This disagreement has seemingly created an irreparable break between the two influential figures.

While the America Party has not yet been officially registered and lacks an official website, Musk has used his posts and retweets from supporters to outline its core ideology.

He envisions a party that champions a pro-tech, pro-free speech, and anti-regulation agenda, while adopting generally centrist policies on other issues.

Musk, a long-time supporter of cryptocurrencies whose companies SpaceX and Tesla both hold Bitcoin (BTC) in their corporate treasuries, sees the digital asset as a key part of this new political vision.

Musk has indicated on X that the party, once formally established, will not immediately field a Presidential candidate.

Instead, its initial focus will be on contesting House and Senate races, aiming to build a political foothold from the ground up.

President Trump, for his part, has not taken kindly to Musk’s political maneuvering.

In a Truth Social post on Sunday evening US time, Trump fired back, stating that Musk had gone “off the rails” and had become a “TRAIN WRECK.”

Crypto markets react to easing trade tensions

While this political drama unfolds, the broader cryptocurrency market experienced a lift on Sunday morning.

Major cryptocurrencies rose after US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent hinted at the likelihood of upcoming trade deals being finalized before the crucial July 9 “Liberation Day” tariff deadline.

Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency by market value, gained over 1%, briefly surpassing the $109,000 mark.

Other major tokens also saw gains: payments-focused XRP and Solana’s SOL token both rose by over 2%, while the popular meme token Dogecoin (DOGE) climbed 3%, according to data from CoinDesk.

Ethereum’s Ether (ETH), the second-largest token, rose 1.5% to $2,550.

    The tariff clock is ticking

In an interview with CNN, Treasury Secretary Bessent stated that the US is close to finalizing several trade deals ahead of the July 9 deadline.

This is the date when a temporary pause on higher tariffs, initially announced on April 2, is set to expire.

“President Trump’s going to be sending letters to some of our trading partners saying that if you don’t move things along, then on August 1, you will boomerang back to your April 2 tariff level. So I think we’re going to see a lot of deals very quickly,” Bessent said, according to Reuters.

He clarified that July 9 remains the firm deadline for negotiations; if deals are not reached, the higher tariffs announced in early April will take effect from August 1.

“We are saying this is when it’s happening. If you want to speed things up, have at it. If you want to go back to the old rate, that’s your choice,” Bessent told CNN, adding that some countries were “foot-dragging” on finalizing deals.

This coercive tactic of imposing tariffs to rebalance trade relations and reduce the US trade deficit has been a central pillar of President Donald Trump’s economic policy since he took office earlier this year.

Komodo tanks 25% after Binance announces delisting

Komodo Logo on a white tablet

    • Komodo price nosedives 25% amid Binance delisting news.
    • Binance also plans to delist Stella, LeverFi, Biswap, and LTO Network tokens on July 4, 2025.
    • LTO price fell alongside ALPHA and LEVER also tanked, but BSW was up more than 50%.

Komodo (KMD), a privacy-focused blockchain platform, saw its token price plummet by more than 25% to trade at lows of $0.06, with this coming amid a major delisting announcement.

Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, plans to end support for trading for all spot pairs for Komodo, news that plunged KMD alongside other tokens facing delisting. The price plunge happened as daily volume spiked more than 400% to illustrate the panic selling that hit the altcoin.

Binance delisting sends Komodo price plummeting

On June 26, 2025, Binance announced it would delist several tokens, including Komodo (KMD), from its spot trading platform. The removal, effective at 03:00 UTC on July 4 2025, is down to the exchange’s periodic review process, which evaluates tokens based on trading volume, liquidity, and overall project activity.

“When a coin or token no longer meets these standards or the industry landscape changes, we conduct a more in-depth review and potentially delist it. Our priority is to ensure the best services and protections for our users while continuing to adapt to evolving market dynamics,” Binance wrote.

According to the exchange, the delisting includes all spot trading pairs for KMD.

Binance has advised its users to cancel open orders and withdraw their KMD by October 4, 2025. The news triggered an immediate sell-off, with Komodo’s price dropping more than 25% within hours. Having traded above $0.085, the token’s value nosedived to hit lows of $0.055.

The chart below from CoinMarketCap shows this sharp decline, which accelerated amid a spike in the 24-hour trading volume to $5.68 million. Volume on the upward spin reflects heightened market activity as investors reacted to the announcement.

    Komodo price chart by CoinMarketCap

Komodo’s market cap, currently at $8.42 million, means an extended decline ahead of the delisting is likely, with trading on Binance one of the big positives for small tokens. With liquidity dipping, it could be tough for KMD bulls.

LeverFi, Biswap, and LTO Network also tank

Komodo was not alone in facing the fallout from Binance’s decision.

The exchange also announced the delisting of Stella (ALPHA), Biswap (BSW), LeverFi (LEVER), and LTO Network (LTO), leading to significant price declines across these tokens. Overall profit-taking as seen with Pi Network and other coins did not help buyers.

LTO Network saw a 27% drop to $0.02, while LEVER was down 9% in 24 hours. ALPHA price fell 6%. However, BSW bucked the trend, with its price up 50% to $0.035 amid notable resilience.

The delisting of these tokens has raised broader concerns about the challenges faced by smaller projects in maintaining exchange listings, especially on major platforms like Binance.

    • Babylon, the self-custodial Bitcoin staking protocol, will launch its mainnet on August 22, 2024.
    • The launch brings a “third native use-case of Bitcoin” to users, adding staking to its store of value and payment, Fisher Yu, co-founder of Babylon, said.

Babylon, a self-custodial Bitcoin staking protocol, has announced the launch of its phase-1 mainnet as it eyes the growing decentralised finance market on the leading blockchain network.

    Babylon announces Bitcoin staking mainnet

In an announcement on Monday, the protocol revealed its mainnet launch will go live on August 22, 2024. The first phase of the mainnet will allow BTC holders to stake their coins with the self-custodial protocol.

Meanwhile, upcoming phases will see the Bitcoin protocol allow proof-of-stake networks to tap into the $1 trillion bitcoin network security. Projects that can gain access to and utilise this ecosystem include layer-2 chains, data availability layers and oracles.

“This launch leads to the third native use-case of Bitcoin, the asset beside value storage and simple payment: stake to secure networks and earn,” Fisher Yu, co-founder of the Babylon project, said. “We expect this to enhance the crypto-economic security of PoS chains and other decentralised applications, offering them a more secure and reliable infrastructure, while at the same time unlocking the value from the idle, unencumbered $1 trillion Bitcoin ecosystem.”

Babylon’s announcement comes after the platform raised $70 million in a funding round led by crypto venture capital firm Paradigm. Mainnet is supported by more than 200 finality providers, including Allnodes, Galaxy Digital, P2P, Figment, Luganodes, and Stakefish.

The project has also received support from top wallets such as Binance Web3 Wallet, OKX Web3 Wallet, Bitget Wallet, Keystone and TomoWallet.

Binance announces Serum, Sonm and DFI.money delisting

    • The Binance news saw all three altcoins nosedive double-digits.
    • Serum (SRM) was down 29%, Sonm (SNM) shed 58% and DFI.money (YFII) declined by 16% in 24 hours.
    • Trading on all pairs for the tokens will end on August 22, 2023.

Serum (SRM), Sonm (SNM) and DFI.money (YFII) are among the biggest losers in the crypto market today. As of writing, SRM, SNM and YFII have all plummeted double-digits.

Binance to delist SRM, SNM and YFII

Binance announced on Tuesday that it will “delist and cease trading on all trading pairs” for Serum, DFI.Money and Sonm from its platform on August 22. The exchange noted in a notice to customers that the delisting is part of its period review of every listed digital asset.

When a coin or token no longer meets this standard, or the industry changes, we conduct a more in-depth review and potentially delist it. We believe this best protects all our users,” the exchange said in a general announcement.

Although Binance did not specify the reasons for removing support for each of the altcoin, it did cite certain metrics considered during the periodic reviews. These include team commitment, development activity, trading volume and liquidity and network safety with regard to attacks.

    Market reaction plunges affected altcoins

According to data from CoinGecko, Sonm has seen the most declines in its 24-hour performance as it traded 58% down around 9.45 am ET. The token was changing hands for around $0.105392.

Serum has nosedived 29% in the same period to just above $0.05 to see its 7-day returns reach -35% and over 50% in the past 30 days. Serum, a project linked to FTX and Alameda Research, is down 99.6% from its all-time high above $13 hit in September 2021.

Elsewhere, DFI.money, which is a yield farming aggregator forked from yearn.finance, was down 16% in the past 24 hours to trade around $605. YFII has declined by more than 24% in the past month and traded at a level that’s more than 93% down from its ATH of $9,251 reached in September 2020.

Declines for the three altcoins come as most of the top 20 assets by market cap continued to trade flat, with Bitcoin constrained below $30k and Ethereum unable to breach $1,900.

BGB price jumped more than 4% following the listing news, with the utility token’s value reaching an intraday high of $0.46. This isn’t far from the all-time high for BGB/USD, which was $0.51 reached in February this year.

Bitget launched an updated version of its token in July 2021. It is used as a form of payment in the exchange platform’s ecosystem, and can be staked or for discounts on trading fees.
