OKB price dips 20% as OKB Boost contract glitch drains an entire reward pool

    • The malfunction allowed 32 wallets to claim 623M PYBOBO within 4 seconds.
    • The event emptied nearly all the 625M reward pool almost instantly.
    • The glitch coincides with OKB’s price underperformance.

The virtual currency sector recorded another sell-off on Friday as Bitcoin lost 10% in the past 24 hours to press time’s $81,865.

The global crypto market cap stands at $2.81 trillion after a 10% decline over the last day.

Amidst the broader bloodbath, OKX’s native token suffered the most as the downside coincided with OKX facing new scrutiny after an unexpected contract glitch in its recent Boost reward campaign.

A planned distribution of PYBOBO coins ended up with nearly all the pool drained within four minutes, and it wasn’t the massive demand as earlier thought.

OKX’s token underperformed the overall cryptocurrency market in the past 24 hours.

It dipped from $115 to $94 during this writing, and over 18% dip on its daily price chart.

OKB experienced intensified selling pressure as the news of contract malfunctioning spread.

    A 4-second glitch empties 99.68% of incentives

On-chain stats show that 32 addresses claimed 623 million PYBOBO coins, wiping nearly all the 625 million allocated for the distribution event.

The most striking thing is that the entire sweep took only four seconds, catching the team and participants unaware.

Notably, a multifunction within the OKX Boost claim contract seems to have permitted abnormal, rapid claims, allowing a few addresses to receive far more PYBOBO tokens than initially planned.

OKLink identified a particular wallet that claimed 37.847 million tokens, worth roughly $18,600.

Nevertheless, what’s striking is how fast the pool evaporated, with 99.68% of rewards gone by the time the ream noticed the glitch.

The event’s nature indicates an unintended move that propelled distributions well beyond their specified limits.

OKX Wallets halts claiming amid investigations

The team acknowledged the issue immediately after the reports emerged and confirmed delaying PYBOBO claiming until after resolving the contract issuer.

The temporary pause aims to prevent further potential damage as the project conducts a review.

The team has promised to publish more updates as they investigate the matter.

The incident sent ripples across the OKX ecosystem. OKB testified to that with its overwhelming selling pressure.

    OKB price outlook

OKX’s token  hit a daily low of $94 after losing the $100 psychological mark.

It has dropped from a daily high of $115, losing over 18% of its value in the past 24 hours.

OKB has seen its daily trading volume surge 100%, signaling increased speculative activity.

The digital coin would likely slump further before regaining a dependable footing as sellers thrive in the current financial landscape.

Bitcoin dips below $122K after 16% rally, altcoins follow as analysts eye rebound

Bitcoin slips under $122K after a 16% surge fueled by ETFs and futures.

    • Bitcoin slips under $122K after a 16% surge fueled by ETFs and futures.
    • Profit-taking triggers a short-term dip, pulling major altcoins down 4–7%.
    • Analysts eye a potential rebound, with Bitcoin aiming past $130K and altcoins poised for recovery.

Bitcoin took a bit of a breather on Tuesday, slipping below the $122,000 mark after a blistering rally that had traders buzzing with excitement.

For the traders following the crypto rollercoaster, this pullback probably didn’t come as a huge surprise.

The market had been running pretty hot, and sometimes you just need to catch your breath before the next big move.

Bitcoin price: What’s behind the dip?

So, what’s causing Bitcoin and its crypto cousins like Solana, Cardano, and XRP to catch some cold feet right now? Well, a lot of it comes down to the fast-paced buying spree we saw over the past several days.

Bitcoin’s price zoomed up by around 16%, fueled by a flood of fresh investments pouring into ETFs and futures.

It’s like everyone piled onto the bandwagon at once, which can make things a little wobbly. When the crowd rushes in simultaneously, it often leads to what experts call an “overheated” market.

Basically, traders get a bit too optimistic, pushing prices higher than what fundamentals might support in the short term. Then, boom, some folks start locking in profits, and the selling begins.

We saw exactly that as bitcoin lost some steam, dragging most altcoins down with it, with drops ranging from 4% to 7% for the bigger names.

But here’s the thing, it’s not all doom and gloom. These kinds of corrections are pretty common in volatile markets like crypto.

Think of it this way: it cleans out the weak hands and sets the stage for healthier growth ahead. Plus, bitcoin still has strong support around the $118,000 to $120,000 zone, which many believe will keep the floor from falling out completely.

    What’s next for crypto?

Many analysts are keeping a hopeful eye on the coming weeks. If Bitcoin can hang onto those key support levels, the path might just be clear for it to climb back past $130,000, riding the momentum of a strong finish to 2025.

Of course, the crypto world isn’t just about Bitcoin. Ethereum, for one, has been holding up relatively well, partly thanks to growing interest in staking and the ongoing development of decentralized finance platforms.

The altcoin scene may have taken a hit during this pullback, but it’s not out of the game.

Tokens like Solana and XRP are still on many investors’ radars, especially with potential new ETF approvals on the horizon and technical upgrades underway.

October has historically been a lively month for crypto, so don’t be surprised if the market springs back with a classic “Uptober” rally soon.

That said, this ride isn’t for the faint of heart. The market’s inherent volatility means prices can swing wildly, sometimes on little more than speculation or headlines.

Plus, global economic factors and regulatory news can turn the tide pretty quickly.

  • NEO price dips 7% as Binance ends support for Neo Legacy Network

NEO price dips 7% as Binance ends support for Neo Legacy Network

NEO price dips 7% as Binance ends support for Neo Legacy Network

    • The exchange has confirmed plans to halt deposits and withdrawals on Neo Legacy.
    • The phase-out will begin on August 25, with a complete shutdown scheduled for October 15.
    • NEO has plummeted amidst community uncertainty.

The digital assets landscape endured a bloodbath on Monday as the global crypto market cap plunged 3.27% in the past day to $3.89 trillion.

While most assets reflect bear dominance, NEO suffered the most after Binance confirmed it would end support for Neo Legacy.

Starting August 25, the leading exchange will no longer support asset deposits through the NEO network and will halt withdrawals by October 15.

Moreover, Binance will not credit any deposits made after the deadline.

    The announcement magnified NEO’s decline.

The alt lost around 7.62% from $6.5012 to an intraday low of $6.0058.

    Affected tokens

The halt decision will impact three key assets: NEO, NeoGas (GAS), and Kepple (QLC).

While GAS and NEO holders can use other Binance-supported platforms to transact, Kepple investors encounter a harsher situation.

The exchange has advised holders to cash out all QLC before the October 15 deadline. The team emphasized:

It is strongly recommended for users holding QLC tokens to withdraw their remaining tokens before 2024-10-15 08:00 (UTC), as transfer of assets will cease after the shutdown.

    What prompted Binance’s decision

The leading trading platform is known for delisting projects that do not meet certain standards.

However, Neo Legacy’s case is different.

Binance emphasized that the platform’s transition into a more advanced version, Neo N3, triggered the suspension.

The Neo Legacy team announced the network’s shutdown in April to focus on the advanced platform “designed to replace Neo Legacy.”

    The official announcement read:

As part of our commitment to advancing Neo’s technology and focusing our efforts on the future, we have made the decision to sunset the Neo Legacy Network.

Meanwhile, Binance’s notice stirred the markets as it formalized the end of Neo’s older system.

However, the suspension could be a necessary step as handling two active platforms often fragments user activity and liquidity.

Focusing on Neo N3 might form a cleaner ecosystem that can bolster adoption in the coming times.

    What’s next for investors

With the deadlines somewhat tight, Neo Legacy users may have to consider three primary things.

Firstly, any deposit completed to Binance via Neo Legacy after August 25 will lead to asset loss.

Secondly, the exchange will suspend withdrawals entirely on October 15.

Lastly, enthusiasts should watch the native token’s performance.

NEO could plummet further to test key price levels as investors seek clarity.

    NEO price outlook

The alt exhibits significant bearishness at $6.06.

NEO attempts to recover from earlier losses, but indicators signal sellers’ dominance.

The 3H MACD and RSI confirm that bears control of NEO’s trajectory as they depict waning momentum.

Moreover, the current broad market bias suggests further price dips for NEO.

  • XRP price forecast: XRP dips 7% as crypto downturn threatens bulls

XRP price forecast: XRP dips 7% as crypto downturn threatens bulls

    XRP Price

    • XRP price fell 7% in the past 24 hours amid a broader crypto crash to touch lows of $2.90.
    • Daily trading volume jumped 28% to $8.2 billion as panic selling spread.
    • XRP’s technical outlook suggests further price declines.

Ripple’s XRP is one of the top losers in the leading cryptocurrencies by market segment as the cryptocurrency market faces fresh turbulence.

Amid a broader crypto downturn, the XRP price has fallen 7% in the past 24 hours to touch lows of $2.90.

This decline below the key level of $3.00 comes as Bitcoin hovers below $115k after another aggressive sell-off, with Ethereum, Solana and BNB also paring gains.

Macroeconomic headwinds and whale sell-offs are likely to drive further volatility across the market, with a bearish flip, bad news for altcoins.

However, could XRP’s strength see bulls rebound off support to eye new all-time highs?

XRP price – bulls fail to hold $3.00 amid crypto downturn

In the past 24 hours, XRP’s price has dropped from highs of $3.18 to lows of $2.90 across major exchanges.

While the 7% dip aligned with other top 10 coins, it’s notable that XRP slipped below the critical $3.00 threshold.

Daily trading volume rose 28% to over $8.2 billion, reflecting the level of panic selling that XRP has seen in the past 24 hours.

As noted, Ripple’s XRP dipped amid Bitcoin’s notable drop to lows near $114k.

Increased whale selling, in recent weeks, from long-dormant coins, combined with overall macroeconomic headwinds, to scattered bulls’ plans.

Per Coinglass data, these declines have led to total liquidations across the crypto market jumping 79% to more than $758 million in 24 hours.

ETH led with over $229 million in leveraged positions wiped out, and BTC saw $179 million in forced exits.

On the other hand, XRP accounted for $41 million, with most of these long positions totalling over $40 million.

A surge in liquidations, particularly, could fade bullish sentiment and allow bears to target lower levels.

The declining open interest, which fell 10% to $7.77 billion, hints at the reduced speculative activity.

    Ripple price prediction

XRP’s technical outlook suggests price is revisiting a key support area, highlighted on the chart below.

    XRP price chart by TradingView

On the daily chart, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 48 after retreating from overbought levels, and its dip suggests a potential continuation of the bearish momentum.

Furthermore, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) shows a bearish crossover.

The histogram bars forming below the zero line indicate weakening momentum as bears strengthen.

If XRP price breaks below a break below $2.73, bears could accelerate the slide toward the $2.00 psychological support level.

On the flipside, a recovery above $3.00 could signal renewed momentum and allow bulls to target $3.55 and then $4.

  • FARTCOIN price dips 20% as top whale takes profit

FARTCOIN price dips 20% as top whale takes profit

FARTCOIN price dips 20% as top whale takes profit

    • A large-scale holder has just offloaded 3 million FARTCOIN.
    • The meme token’s price has dropped 20% on the 24-hour chart.
    • Meme cryptos have plunged after the latest criticisms from Solana’s co-founder.

Digital tokens recorded mixed performances in the past 24 hours, with most coins plunging.

The meme token space witnessed multiple activities.

While Gemini announced DOGE and SHIB as collaterals, a dramatic move shocked the Fartcoin community.

According to Lookonchain, address 24BLFj has dumped a massive 3 million FARTCOIN tokens, pocketing $3.65 million.

The investor sold at $1.22 as Fartcoin plunged from the intraday high of $1.4017.

The meme cryptocurrency fell to $1.1253, a 19.71% decline from the daily peak.

While Solana co-founder’s latest criticism of meme assets contributes to FARTCOIN’s weakness, the whale sell-off adds to the selling pressure.

Anatoly Yakovenko said NFTs and meme cryptocurrencies lack intrinsic value.

Meanwhile, this whale has invested in Fartcoin since late February, accumulating 8.89 million coins at discounted prices.

Notably, the whale spent $0.26 on average to purchase the assets between 26 February and 21 March.

The strategic investment, worth only $2.31 million, has grown to a massive profit of $8.07 million, a 349% ROI.

While the large-scale offload has impacted the markets, it also shows that the investor played a long game with FARTCOIN.

Most importantly, the sale could indicate dwindling confidence in FARTCOIN’s short-term performance.

Is the meme token set for further declines?

Fartcoin has plummeted continuously from $1.6843 on 23 July.

Nevertheless, the whale has not dumped all his stash.

They still hold FARTCOIN worth approximately $2.15 million (1.89 million coins).

Thus, the offload signals a potential strategy change, not a complete exit. The investor could be bracing for more returns in a rebound.

Most importantly, the sale reflects a calculated move.

While panic sellers dump all their assets at once, the smart whale takes partial profits while waiting for any future rally.

    FARTCOIN price outlook

The meme coin trades at $1.18 with a bearish structure.

The 50% increase in daily trading volume signals intensified trader activity in FARTCOIN.

That signals players seeking opportunities in the prevailing volatility or exiting their positions.

The prevailing broad market sentiments support continued struggle for Fartcoin.

    Meme coin market overview

The meme cryptocurrency space endured a bloodbath on Tuesday, with Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and PEPE losing up to 10% on their daily charts.

The seven-day timeframe also confirms bearish dominance.

Only PENGU (+8.5%) and SPX (+18%) exhibit 7D days among the top meme coins by value.

CoinGecko data shows the meme coins’ market cap plunged 4.6% the previous day to $79.55 billion.

The substantial daily trading volume dip indicates dwindling interest in themed digital coins.

The latest critique by Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko magnified bearish sentiments in the meme crypto space.

While meme activity has fueled Solana’s growth, Yakovenko blasted the asset class.

He boldly said that “memecoins and NFTs are digital slop and have no intrinsic value.”

Nevertheless, meme cryptocurrencies have proven crucial for the digital assets economy, often used as a proxy for broad market sentiments.

  • US House passes three key crypto bills; market reaction muted as Bitcoin dips

US House passes three key crypto bills; market reaction muted as Bitcoin dips

US House passes three key crypto bills; market reaction muted as bitcoin dips

    • US House passed all three key crypto bills: the CLARITY Act, GENIUS Act, and Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act.
    • Despite the “historic” legislative wins, crypto markets remained flat, with Bitcoin down 0.89% to $118,849.
    • The GENIUS Act (stablecoins) is the first major crypto bill to clear both chambers and is now on President Trump’s desk.

The US House of Representatives has delivered a week of landmark legislative victories for the cryptocurrency industry, passing all three key bills aimed at providing long-sought regulatory clarity.

However, in a striking display of market apathy, this historic breakthrough in Washington has been met with a collective shrug from crypto traders, with prices remaining largely flat.

In what many industry proponents are calling a watershed moment, the US House has now passed the CLARITY Act, the GENIUS Act, and the Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act.

The CLARITY Act, which passed by a strong vote of 294 to 134, aims to establish clear guidelines for classifying digital assets as either securities under the purview of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) or as commodities under the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

The Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act, which passed by a much narrower 219 to 217 vote, effectively bans the Federal Reserve from issuing or even testing a central bank digital currency without explicit Congressional approval. Both of these bills will now advance to the Senate, where their future remains uncertain.

The most significant of the three, the GENIUS Act, which creates a regulatory framework for stablecoins, has already cleared both chambers of Congress. Having previously passed the Senate with a 68 to 30 vote, it sailed through the House this week with a decisive 308 to 122 vote.

This bill is now on President Trump’s desk, making it the first major piece of crypto-focused legislation on track to become US law.

Despite these monumental legislative achievements, the crypto markets have remained conspicuously unfazed. Bitcoin (BTC) is currently trading at $118,849, down 0.89% over the past 24 hours. Ethereum (ETH) is hovering at $3,389, down 0.27%.

The broader altcoin market has also been mostly muted. The one notable exception is XRP, which is up over 8% on the day, continuing a strong bullish run it has maintained throughout the week.

The market’s tepid reaction is further evidenced by liquidation data. According to Coinglass, 150,169 traders were liquidated in the past 24 hours, with total liquidations reaching nearly $490 million.

The largest single liquidation was a $3.21 million ETH-USDT long position on the crypto exchange HTX, a sign of the choppy, directionless trading that has characterized the market.

A tale of two markets: crypto stalls as Wall Street soars

The crypto market’s indifference stands in stark contrast to the exuberance seen in traditional stock markets.

Major US indexes surged to fresh record highs on Friday, as upbeat corporate earnings and stronger-than-expected economic data lifted investor sentiment.

The S&P 500 jumped 0.54% to a new record close of 6,297.36, marking its ninth all-time closing high of the year. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite also hit its tenth record of 2025, climbing 0.74% to finish at 20,884.27, driven by strength in major tech stocks.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 229.71 points, or 0.52%, to close at 44,484.49.

This rally in equities was supported by strong economic data, including a retail sales report for June that came in at 0.6%, beating expectations of 0.2%, and a drop in jobless claims, both signaling a still-resilient US economy.

Strong earnings reports from companies like PepsiCo and United Airlines further boosted optimism as the second-quarter earnings season gets underway.

This divergence highlights a curious moment in markets, where a significant, long-awaited regulatory victory for crypto has failed to generate the kind of bullish excitement currently being seen on Wall Street.

  • Bitcoin price dips below $25k after Fed decision- what next?

Bitcoin price dips below $25k after Fed decision- what next?

    • Bitcoin price fell below $25,000 after the Fed rate pause news.
    • An analyst points out that the decline saw bulls lose a 7-month trendline support and $20k-$22k could be next.
    • The main resistance zone is between $26k and $28.3k, which can be touched if BTC bounces back.

Bitcoin price broke below the $25,000 level overnight Wednesday as bulls failed to hold a key support zone, with the new price weakness coming after the US Federal Reserve’s interest rate pause decision.

Bitcoin had consolidated near $26k ahead of the Fed’s decision. However, as the markets reacted to the news, BTC dipped past $25,500, losing a major trendline that has acted as upside support for the past seven months.

Analyst share short term Bitcoin price prediction

Bitcoin’s decline below $25k now puts bulls at risk of further rot, a scenario that could crystalise if bears take control. In this case, downside pressure could allow sellers to target new lows.

    Crypto analyst Captain Faibik says:

$BTC Bulls have lost the 7-Month Major Trendline, Not a good Sign..!! Is it a TRAP or Bears are back in the Town? If it’s a trap and Bitcoin bounces back, reclaiming the 26.7k resistance, we could witness a Bullish Rally towards 31k. If Bears are back, Bitcoin may face more downward pressure, possibly testing the 20-22k area.”

Bitcoin price chart shared by Captain Faibik on Twitter

Another analyst, Ali, says BTC has its most important support area in the $22.7k-23.6k region. On the upside, the main resistance zone lies between $26k and 28.3k. This suggests a bounce could see Bitcoin reclaim this zone and possibly look to retest the $30k area.

Bitcoin sits on thin ice! Notice the most important support zone is between $22,785 and $23,595 where 1.34 million wallets hold 450,000 $BTC. On the flip side, #BTC faces stiff resistance between $26,000 and $28,250 where 5.18 million wallets bought 2.1 million BTC,” the analyst tweeted.

While the sub-$25k level offers a buy the dip opportunity, crypto analyst Rekt Capital notes that the loss of $26,600 threatens turning it into stiff resistance. A rejection of this level after the Weekly Close below could mean “lower $20000s await.”

Bitcoin traded at $24,878 early Thursday morning, about 4% down as altcoins mirrored the losses. The total crypto market cap was down 3.8%, with Ethereum trading at $1,674 and XRP at $0.47 – down 6% and 7.3% respectively at the time of writing.

SUI price dips below $1, BTC and ETH struggle amid sell-off

    • Sui (SUI) fell below $1, while Bitcoin and Ethereum dropped below key levels at $26,500 and $1,800 respectively.
    • Altcoins were selling off on Wednesday as the global cryptocurrency market cap dropped to $1.15 trillion, down 2.6% at the time of writing.
    • A confluence of headwinds, including the uncertainty around the US debt ceiling talks and possible default were likely triggers.

The price of Sui (SUI) fell below $1 on Wednesday as the broader cryptocurrency market continued to sell-off after recent declines catalysed by macroeconomic news events.

At the time of writing, SUI traded at $0.97, about 7.6% down in the past 24 hours and -16% over the past seven days. The token’s daily trading volume was just over $235 million, up 115% from a day earlier as selling pressure mounted.

Today’s declines for Sui sees its price below the dollar for the first time since its token launch for trading on exchanges. On 3 May 2023, SUI reached its all-time high price of $2.16. At the current value, its down nearly 55%.

Crypto market shrinks 2.6% as BTC, ETH and altcoins struggle

As SUI fell to its lowest price level so far, the sentiment around crypto did not help the global cryptocurrency market cap. According to data from market data aggregator CoinGecko, the total crypto market cap was down 2.6% in the past 24 hours at the time of writing, hovering around $1.15 trillion.

Crypto markets were also down as Bitcoin (BTC) price retreated towards $26k amid continuing uncertainty in the financial market. The benchmark cryptocurrency’s market cap was $508 billion, down 3.7% from a day earlier.

Ethereum also struggled to maintain recent upside momentum, with ETH price trading at $1,789 and about 3.3% down in the past 24 hours.

ETH and BTC both hit year-to-date highs above the psychological levels of $2,000 and $30,000 respectively. However, a confluence of headwinds, including regulatory uncertainty have catalysed declines that threaten further rot to critical support zones.

At the moment, another downward trigger is the uncertainty around the US debt ceiling talks and possible default. Stocks were down on Wednesday as a result of investor jitters.

All the top 10 altcoins were also down, including XRP and Litecoin that have had some upside in recent weeks. Crypto analysts say further declines could spell danger for the market. Michael van de Poppe shared such an outlook.

Fetch.ai (FET) price dips as bears threaten bullish outlook

    • FET price dipped 8% to support near $0.38
    • Today’s sell pressure comes after FET/USD broke higher after a pennant pattern.
    • Fetch.ai is a leading artificial intelligence related crypto project.

Fetch.ai price has retraced to support near $0.38 amid a broader crypto market dip that has Bitcoin again below $30k and Ethereum under $2k.

According to data from CoinGecko, the price of FET was down more than 8% in the past 24 hours on Wednesday morning, with the technical picture suggesting possible breakdown to a recent support zone.

This could be the case if bears take advantage of current weakness to force prices lower.

FET price prediction: bulls need to hold onto gains

Fetch.ai is an artificial intelligence-powered blockchain platform that seeks to enable full decentralisation of peer-to-peer transactions. The platform has announced new crypto trading products for DeFi users as the ecosystem embraces the benefits of artificial intelligence in trading.

The price of Fetch.ai has been one of the altcoins to profit from the sentiment around the AI in crypto narrative in 2023.

As can be seen in the Fetch.ai price chart below, FET/USD recently formed a bullish pennant – a technical indicator that usually suggests continuation on the upside.

Fetch.ai price prediction daily chart. Source: TradingView

But this outlook could be jeopardised if prices dip further, with primary support then expected near $0.34.

FET also has the daily RSI flipping downwards from near the oversold territory, while the MACD remains above the signal line but is suggesting weakness. If bears take charge, the recent consolidation zone between $0.25 and $0.29 will offer a crucial buffer should market weakness continue.

On the upside, if more buy FET pressure materialises, a flip to the February highs of $0.60 could be possible in the coming days. The immediate outlook suggests the area around $0.40 should offer the main resistance before a +60% breakout to the aforementioned target.

Bitcoin dips by 2% today as mining difficulty falls by 7.2%

    • Bitcoin is trading below $17k once again after losing roughly 2% of its value today.

    • Bitcoin mining difficulty is down 7.2%, the biggest drop in more than a year.

    • The total crypto market cap is also down by nearly 2% in the last 24 hours.

Bitcoin mining difficulty dips by 7.2%

Bitcoin, the world’s leading cryptocurrency by market cap, has been underperforming over the last 24 hours. At press time, the price of Bitcoin stands at $16,900 and could dip lower before the end of the day.

This latest cryptocurrency news comes after BTC.com revealed that Bitcoin mining difficulty is down 7.2%, the biggest drop since July last year. The recent decline in Bitcoin mining difficulty is the biggest one since the 28% plunge recorded following China’s crackdown on mining in the summer of last year.

The broader cryptocurrency market has also been underperforming over the past 24 hours. At press time, the total cryptocurrency market cap stands at $851 billion, down by 1.9% so far today.

Ether, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap, isn’t fairing any better. ETH is down by nearly 3% today and is now trading at $1,256 per coin.

    Key levels to watch

The BTC/USD 4-hour chart remains bullish despite BTC underperforming over the past few hours. This is because BTC is still in the green zone when you look at its seven-day performance.

The MACD line remains above the neutral zone but has been declining and could enter the negative region if the bears remain in charge. The 14-day RSI of 50 shows that BTC could enter the oversold region in the near term unless the bulls regain control of the market.

With the bears now in control, BTC could test the first major support level at $16,368 before the end of the day. However, unless there is a massive bearish run, the bears could find it tough to drop BTC’s price below the $15,909 support level.
