BNB sets altcoin market abuzz amid major Wall Street treasury bets

BNB hits a new all-time high

    • BNB price rallied to new all-time highs amid major institutional interest.
    • After Nano Labs earlier in the day, CEA Industries Inc. (Nasdaq: VAPE) and 10X Capital are eyeing up to $1.25 billion to buy BNB.
    • Initiative could see BNB price explode in coming days.

BNB price soared to a new all-time high of $859 on Monday as an unprecedented institutional interest and strategic corporate investment bet in the digital asset emerged.

With Nano Labs doubling down on BNB earlier in the week, it was another Wall Street firm that added to the frenzy of publicly traded companies eyeing BNB.

That initiative is the plan to raise up to $1.25 billion for BNB by CEA Industries Inc. and 10X Capital – backed by Binance founder Changpeng Zhao’s YZi Labs.

BNB price hovered around $847 at the time of writing.

CEA Industries and 10X Capital’s takes bold BNB bet

On Friday, CEA Industries Inc. (Nasdaq: VAPE) and 10X Capital, backed by YZi Labs, announced a $500 million private placement.

The companies are looking to establish the largest publicly-listed BNB treasury company in the U.S.

The deal, which could reach $1.25 billion with exercised warrants, aims to acquire substantial BNB holdings, and will offer institutional and retail investors exposure to the BNB Chain ecosystem.

Led by David Namdar, co-founder of Galaxy Digital, and Russell Read, former chief investment officer of CalPERS, the initiative comes as BNB stands out.

The coin’s surge to a new all-time high puts these plans into sharper focus, bringing more attention to the cryptocurrency.

“Treasury companies have proven to be the cleanest, most transparent gateway for institutions to access digital assets. With BNB powering hundreds of millions of users globally, this marks the right time for a well-capitalized BNB treasury company to enter the U.S. market,” said Hans Thomas, founder and CEO of 10X Capital.

The PIPE has attracted over 140 subscribers, with both institutional and crypto-natives joining in.

Apart from YZi Labs, others are Pantera Capital, GSR, Borderless, Arrington Capital, Blockchain.com, Kenetic, and Protocol Ventures.

BNB, SOL, and XRP gains amid treasury strategies

BNB’s price surge aligns with broader market enthusiasm for digital asset treasuries.

Trading at $847 with a 4.6% daily gain and $3.9 billion in trading volume, BNB is eyeing a potential breakout to $1,000 or higher.

Much of the upside comes amid a surge in BNB treasury commitments- efforts also seen across Solana, XRP and Ethereum.

For BNB, such efforts include Nano Labs and Windtree Therapeutics, which recently revealed a $700 million commitment towards a BNB treasury strategy.

Elsewhere, VivoPower International has launched an XRP-focused treasury, while Upexi and DeFi Development Corp have its eyes on SOL as a treasury asset.

  • Bitcoin Pepe’s potential sets it for 100X gains as crypto majors stall

Bitcoin Pepe’s potential sets it for 100X gains as crypto majors stall

Despite the optimism and steady fundamentals that continue to buoy cryptocurrencies, majors like Bitcoin and Cardano remain range-bound. Even so, revolutionary projects founded on the ultra-popular meme culture are thriving. Among the fresh entities worth watching is Bitcoin Pepe.

The meme project’s growth potential and subsequent FOMO is unmatched. In just the first 90 seconds of its presale, it has already sold out its stage 1. The one-of-a-kind project has maintained that momentum and is currently at stage 4. With 26 more stages to go before its launch in Q2’25, this is the ideal opportunity for savvy investors to amass some BPEP tokens.

Bitcoin’s anticipated breakout is on the horizon

Bitcoin price is still in a tight range even as the bulls remain in control. After hitting a fresh record high in late January 2025, the crypto major is back to the consolidation phase that has been in place since November 2024.

As seen on Binance, the crypto fear & greed index is at a neutral level of 50, indicating that investors are on the sidelines. Even so, the support zone of $90,000 will likely remain steady in the short to medium term.

In the absence of a major near-term catalyst, the range between $93,365 and $98,381 is worth watching. Infact, the range’s upper limit is the point of convergence for the 25 and 50-day EMAs. The confirmation of a golden cross, occurring when the short-term MA crosses the medium-term one to the upside, will likely bolster the crypto to the upper resistance level of $101,549.

Bitcoin Pepe price to surge by over 300% before Q2’s launch

All fundamentals point to Bitcoin Pepe being one of the fastest-growing ICOs in 2025. As the first meme ICO on Bitcoin’s network, it has brought the much-needed layer of meme culture to the leading crypto.

As seen on its website, its mission is to build “Solana on Bitcoin”. It is this unique amalgamation that has crypto enthusiasts rushing to amass some BPEP tokens before the price skyrockets. Based on its robust growth potential, the current price of $0.0243 may be the lowest for the meme coin going forward.

In about one week, it has already raised over $2.5 million with stage 3 being sold out. As part of this stage model, the token price increases by 5% with each stage. This means that the early adopters who jumped on this opportunity at stage 1 when it was at $0.021 have already made considerable gains.

At the end of the 30 stages, BPEP price will have increased by 311.4% to $0.0864. Even before hitting the public shelves, its holders will be sitting on hefty profits. Read more on how to buy Bitcoin Pepe.

Cardano bulls to wait longer for the highly anticipated breakout

    Cardano Price
    Cardano Price

Entering into 2025, Cardano was one of the crypto majors expected to benefit from the highly anticipated bull run. Indeed, this thesis was substantiated by the altcoin’s rallying past the psychologically crucial mark of $1 in early January.

However, with the recent tech selloff, Cardano price has dropped by over 30% within one month. Even so, the crypto’s fundamentals remain steady. In addition to the optimism observed across the crypto market, hype over the possible approval of Grayscale’s Cardano ETF is set to support the altcoin.

Based on this bullish thesis, Cardano price will likely remain above the crucial support zone of $0.7005. On the upside, the sustained death cross points to the continuation of range-bound trading.

The bulls will need to gather enough momentum to break the resistance at $0.8341. In the absence of a major bullish catalyst, a price increase past that resistance level will still encounter a short-term ceiling at $0.8875.

    • BlackRock’s IBIT reached a new record in 211 days, surpassing iShares Core MSCI Emerging Markets ETF’s previous record of 1,253 days
    • BlackRock’s new record comes two weeks after it hit $30 billion in net assets at the end of October
    • BlackRock is now in the top 1% of all ETFs by assets and is bigger than all the ETFs launched in the past 10 years

BlackRock has done it again. This time its IBIT spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) has hit a record of over $41 billion in net assets in 211 days.

News of the milestone comes two weeks after BlackRock reached $30 billion in net assets in 293 days at the end of October.

Posting on X in October, Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas, said what BlackRock has achieved is an “all-time record,” adding “the old record was $JEPI which did it in 1,272 days. $GLD took 1,790 days. Unreal.”

With BlackRock’s new achievement, it’s surpassed the previous record of 1,253 days held by iShares Core MSCI Emerging Markets ETF, according to Balchunas.

In a post on X, he said: “[BlackRock’s] now in Top 1% of all ETFs by assets and at 10mo old it is bigger than all 2,800 ETFs launched in the past TEN years.”

Now, BlackRock holds more than 467,000 Bitcoin, valued at $41.8 billion, according to iShares data.

    Reaching new heights

The new record comes as Bitcoin reached an all-time high of over $93,000 on November 13 in a continued rally that’s showing no signs of slowing.

The upward trajectory is partly due to Donald Trump being re-elected as US President earlier this month. Following news of his win, Bitcoin broke the $75,000 mark. It then passed $82,000, and continued to $84,000, before pushing to $87,000 earlier this week.

In September, Bernstein analysts predicted that Bitcoin would surge to between $80,000 and $90,000 if Trump won the US election. With that prediction having now passed, Bernstein analysts believe Bitcoin could reach $200,000 in 2025, urging investors to “buy everything they can.”

It remains to be seen how far Bitcoin will go, but for now, it’s showing no signs of slowing down.

BlackRock’s IBIT sets record $1.1 billion in daily inflows

    • IBIT’s new record comes as Bitcoin achieved a new all-time high of over $76,000 on November 7
    • Dary McGovern, COO of Bitcoin native Xapo Bank, said to CoinJournal that Bitcoin’s new record indicates a “broader shift in institutional confidence” seen by BlackRock’s record net inflows
    • The 12 spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a daily total net inflow of $1.38 billion, a new record since listing in January

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) exchange-traded fund (ETF) set a new record for inflows, reaching $1.12 billion, topping its previous record of $872 million.

The new record was noted on SoSoValue and comes when Bitcoin reached an all-time high of $76,677 across major exchanges on November 7. Earlier in the week, Bitcoin broke a new all-time high of $75,317 as voting results signalled a Donald Trump win for the White House.

BlackRock’s IBIT net assets now account for $34.29 billion, significantly pushing it ahead of its competitors. In October, BlackRock set a new record when its total assets reached $30 billion in 293 days.

Dary McGovern, COO of Bitcoin native Xapo Bank, said to CoinJournal that Bitcoin’s new record suggests a “broader shift in institutional confidence, with notable market movements such as BlackRock’s record net inflows into its iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT),” adding:

“The growing institutional interest underscores Bitcoin’s increasing recognition as a trusted asset class, driven by rising global demand and mainstream adoption. As more investors seek exposure to digital assets, Bitcoin’s role as a store of value and a potential hedge against inflation becomes ever clearer.”

The 12 US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a daily total net inflow of $1.38 billion, also a new record since listing in January.

    Nearing Satoshi’s wallet

Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas noted BlackRock’s new record in a post on X, saying: “Even I am surprised it’s that big, by far biggest one day flow of any BTC ETF ever.”

Balchunas later added that the spot Bitcoin ETFs have taken in a combined $6.7 billion in the past month and $25.5 billion year to date, and are 93% of the way to passing Satoshi Nakamoto’s 1.1 million Bitcoin.

“This confidence suggests that Bitcoin is now seen as a legitimate hedge and growth asset, particularly appealing amid traditional market uncertainties and as regulatory clarity improves,” said James Toledano, COO at Unity, a self-custody crypto wallet, to CoinJournal. “Just look at pension funds in both the UK and US investing in Bitcoin too. Sentiment has changed massively in such a short space of time.”

Grayscale’s GBTC, the second-largest by net assets at $16.80 billion, saw a net inflow of $7.31 million. Fidelity’s FBTC reported $190.92 million and Ark and 21Shares saw $17.61 million.

    • Spot Bitcoin ETFs could reach one million Bitcoin, surpassing Satoshi Nakamoto by mid-December

BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) has hit $30 billion in assets setting a new record of 293 days, showcasing rising interest in crypto investments.

The milestone from BlackRock comes 10 months after the company launched its spot Bitcoin ETF in January. Then, it was reported that BlackRock had traded $7.5 million shares within the first 10 minutes of launching.

Now, BlackRock holds more than 417,000 Bitcoin, valued at $30.4 billion, according to iShares data.

Taking to X, Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas, said what BlackRock has achieved is an “all-time record,” adding “the old record was $JEPI which did it in 1,272 days. $GLD took 1,790 days. Unreal.”

Balchunas also noted that Bitcoin ETFs could reach one million Bitcoin soon. At the time of publishing, the number sits around 983,000. If such a milestone is reached Balchunas believes that the combined spot Bitcoin ETFs could surpass Satoshi Nakamoto’s wallet, which holds 1.1 Bitcoin, by mid-December.

“That said, anything can happen, eg a violent selloff and all this is delayed albeit still inevitable,” he added. “On flip, if prices keep going up, Trump wins, we could see FOMO could kick in and it all happens faster. Stay tuned.”

Decentralized prediction market platform, Polymarket, and, more recently, Robinhood, an investment app, have launched data predicting who will win the US Presidential election on November 5.

At the time of publishing, Polymarket shows former US president Donald Trump in the lead at 67% with Vice President Kamala Harris behind at 33.1%.

  • MicroStrategy’s latest BTC purchase sets Bitcoin price in motion

MicroStrategy’s latest BTC purchase sets Bitcoin price in motion

    • Bitcoin is defending the $26k after the recent MicroStrategy’s latest BTC purchase.
    • Concerns over the US dollar’s impact on BTC may be overstated by investors.
    • Coinbase holds about 5% of the total bitcoin in circulation.

MicroStrategy’s recent acquisition of Bitcoin worth nearly $150 million has made waves in the cryptocurrency market, causing a notable shift in Bitcoin’s price dynamics.

The move was a demonstration of MicroStrategy, a prominent business intelligence firm led by CEO Michael Saylor, of its strong commitment to Bitcoin. The recent Bitcoin purchase sent ripples throughout the cryptocurrency world.

    A boost to Bitcoin price

Before MircoStrategy’s BTC acquisition announcement, Bitcoin had briefly dipped below the $26,000 level, around which it has been hovering for a week. However, as soon as news of the purchase became public, Bitcoin price saw a significant upward movement, gaining several hundred dollars in value and hitting a daily high of $26,421.51.

In addition to MicroStrategy’s purchase, China’s Shanghai People’s Court also recently made a significant announcement recognizing Bitcoin as a distinctive digital currency, despite the country’s established ban on cryptocurrencies. This recognition has garnered attention, notably due to Justin Sun, the founder of Tron, drawing attention to the Shanghai No. 2 Intermediate People’s Court’s recent publication, which outlines key characteristics of Bitcoin.

The Shanghai court clearly distinguished Bitcoin from virtual counterparts like Q coins, emphasizing its unique attributes. These include Bitcoin’s scarcity, widespread global acceptance, and intrinsic monetary qualities. This acknowledgement represents a notable departure from China’s traditional classification of cryptocurrencies primarily as speculative investments.

The recognition by the Shanghai People’s Court marks a shift in how Bitcoin is officially perceived within the Chinese legal system. While the ban on cryptocurrencies remains in place in China, this recognition of Bitcoin’s distinct nature as a digital currency signifies a nuanced perspective on its role and significance within the broader financial landscape. It highlights the evolving discourse surrounding cryptocurrencies in China and their potential utility beyond speculation.

    Bitcoin’s resilience

Despite the volatility in recent weeks, Bitcoin has shown resilience. Last week, it reached a 20-day high at $27,500, only to experience a drop to $26,400 by the end of the business week, partly influenced by the US Federal Reserve’s latest meeting.

The weekend remained relatively stable, with Bitcoin maintaining a level of around $26,600. However, Monday started on a bearish note, leading to a temporary dip below $26,000.

MicroStrategy’s announcement acted as a catalyst, helping Bitcoin recover from this low point. While MicroStrategy’s continuous accumulation of Bitcoin strengthens the company’s position as a major institutional investor in the cryptocurrency, it also underscores the growing acceptance of Bitcoin as a valuable digital asset.

  • Shiba Inu Sets New Milestone in This Long-Term Metric: Report

Shiba Inu Sets New Milestone in This Long-Term Metric: Report

According to IntoTheBlock data, SHIB is now seeing its highest percentage of long-term holders, setting a new milestone in the metric. The percentage of long-term holders, or “hodlers,” has jumped to 38%, the highest so far, while that of midterm speculators continues to decline. Meanwhile, the percentage of short-term holders has held relatively steady.

According to IntoTheBlock’s data on holder composition by time held, 38% of SHIB holders have “hodled” their tokens for more than a year, 59% have held within a year and 3% have held onto their tokens for less than a month.

Shiba Inu “hodlers,” referring to addresses that have held SHIB for more than a year, have displayed growth since the start of 2022, from barely 1% to over 38% of holders.

    Ads

Despite being significantly down from its peak, SHIB still draws a sizable number of investors. Shiba Inu currently has 1,230,662 holders, according to cryptocurrency data tracker WhaleStats, indicating that the number of SHIB holders has increased recently.

Shiba Inu trading volumes jump 211%

According to CoinMarketCap data, Shiba Inu is demonstrating a 211% rise in trading volumes as the SHIB price gains traction.

At the time of publication, SHIB was changing hands at $0.00001047, up 5.50% in the last 24 hours. A close above $0.00001017 would make the SHIB price mark the second consecutive day in the green.

Higher volatility, most of the time, leads to increased trading volumes for most crypto assets as traders buy and sell in large quantities to capture profits.

Thus, the rise in SHIB volume may have been caused by investors accumulating SHIB in its current range.
