Bitcoin Cash price prediction: eyes on the $460 demand zone if support gives way

Bitcoin Cash price under bear preassure

    • Bitcoin Cash price is under selling pressure, testing support near $470.8 and $460.3.
    • Bitcoin pullback and market fear amplify downside risks for the BCH price.
    • Key resistance sits at $528.85, with potential upside if support holds.

Bitcoin Cash price has come under significant pressure in the past 24 hours, with BCH slipping to $491.09 following a series of technical setbacks and broader market weakness.

After failing to hold above the $530 resistance level, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) has seen selling momentum intensify, as a result of technical profit-taking and the influence of the Bitcoin price pullback.

Eyes are now on whether BCH can stabilise above critical support levels or if the selling pressure will push the cryptocurrency toward lower demand zones.

BCH struggles under resistance amid bear pressures

On November 13, Bitcoin Cash surged to $532 but faced rejection at the $530–$532 zone, failing to sustain a breakout.

The cryptocurrency’s inability to remain above the 200-day EMA at $510.56 led to a break below the crucial $515 support, triggering algorithmic sell orders.

Technical indicators such as the MACD, which remains below its signal line, have reinforced bearish momentum, while a close below the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement at $500.23 has invalidated the short-term bullish structure.

Traders should now watch closely for a reclaim of $515 to stabilise prices, although a drop below $480 could open the door to deeper corrections.

Bitcoin price pullback drags BCH lower

BCH had not been immune to the broader weakness in the crypto market.

However, Bitcoin’s rejection near $107,000 caused capital rotation away from riskier altcoins, with Bitcoin Cash (BCH) showing a 30-day correlation of 0.89 to Bitcoin (BTC).

This strong correlation amplified the downside, contributing to a 24-hour trading volume surge of 10.58% to $523 million as traders exited positions amid panic selling.

Market-wide risk aversion has further fueled the decline, with derivatives data showing a 4.58% drop in BCH futures open interest and overall spot volumes falling by more than 21%, reflecting low conviction across the market.

The Crypto Fear & Greed Index, sitting at 22, indicating “Extreme Fear,” has also intensified the bearish sentiment.

    Bitcoin Cash price short-term outlook

On shorter timeframes, the 6-hour chart highlights heavy selling momentum as BCH nears critical support.

The immediate support around $470.8 is under pressure, with a notable demand zone at $460.3 potentially acting as a floor for buyers.

Resistance is positioned near $528.85, though the price has shown limited strength to test it.

A confirmed reversal pattern above 470.8 could prompt a retracement toward $528.85, but without clear bullish signals, further decline toward the 460.3 demand zone is likely.

Bitcoin price chart | Source: CoinMarketCap

Traders are advised to watch for momentum shifts before entering new positions, as failure to hold support could result in accelerated downside movement.

Longer-term resistance levels also frame the narrative for the BCH price.

According to market analysis, holding above $473.62 is crucial for any upward movement toward $493.23, and surpassing that could pave the way to $528.85, with $544.23 marking the third resistance target.

Conversely, if $473.62 fails to hold, BCH may slide toward the next support at $444.75, underscoring the importance of this critical level in guiding near-term market behaviour.

Traders and investors should keep a close eye on momentum shifts, as failure to hold key support could lead BCH toward lower levels, while maintaining stability could allow for a measured rebound.

For those tracking market dynamics, understanding the interplay between Bitcoin Cash price and broader crypto movements remains critical in anticipating potential swings and making informed decisions.

  • Bitcoin tests $100K support after massive liquidation event rocks market

Bitcoin tests $100K support after massive liquidation event rocks market

Bitcoin tests $100K support after massive liquidation event rocks market

    • Bitcoin briefly fell to $100,000 after a sharp market-wide sell-off.
    • Over $1.6 billion in leveraged long positions were liquidated in 24 hours.
    • The crash was fueled by “risk-off” sentiment and Fed rate cut uncertainty.

The cryptocurrency market was rocked by a wave of forced selling late Monday, triggering a sharp downturn that saw Bitcoin briefly touch the $100,000 level and erased more than $1.6 billion in leveraged bullish positions.

The sudden deleveraging event, one of the largest since September, sent a shockwave across the digital asset space, with major altcoins like Ether, Solana, and XRP posting heavy losses as renewed macroeconomic fears spooked investors.

The core of the market’s turmoil was a massive cascade of liquidations. In the last 24 hours, more than $2 billion in crypto futures contracts were forcibly closed, with long traders—those betting on higher prices—accounting for nearly 80% of the losses at $1.6 billion, according to CoinGlass data.

This automatic selling pressure occurs when traders using borrowed funds see their positions move sharply against them, forcing exchanges to sell the assets to cover losses.

    Macro headwinds and risk-off sentiment

The sell-off was fueled by a broader “risk-off” mood spreading across financial markets.

Analysts pointed to a combination of factors that are making investors nervous and prompting them to shed speculative assets.

“Recent speculation that the FOMC may pass on another rate cut this year, as well as concerns over tariffs, credit market conditions, and equity valuations, helped drive markets lower,” Gerry O’Shea, head of global market insights at Hashdex, said in an email to CoinDesk.

He added that Bitcoin’s price has also been affected by profit-taking from long-term holders, which he described as “an expected phenomenon as the asset matures.”

Bitcoin at a crossroads: a test of support

Following the plunge, Bitcoin staged a modest rebound to trade around $101,000. However, the token remains down 5.5% over the past day and more than 10% for the week.

The pain was more severe for altcoins, with Ether dropping 10%, while Solana and BNB lost 8% and 7% respectively.

Despite the sharp downturn, some analysts believe the long-term picture for Bitcoin remains positive.

“While $100,000 may be a psychologically important support level, we do not view today’s price action as a sign of a weakening long-term investment case for Bitcoin,” O’Shea said.

With the Federal Reserve’s next move uncertain and global risk appetite fragile, the coming days will be a crucial test for the market, determining whether Bitcoin can hold its current level or if another wave of forced selling is on the horizon.

  • Litecoin price forecast: what next as LTC drops to key support?

Litecoin price forecast: what next as LTC drops to key support?

    Litecoin Price Bulls Vs Bear

    • Litecoin trades near $112, just in the green on the day but at risk of fresh losses.
    • The LTC price hovers at key support level as bulls attempt to hold bears off.
    • Bullish crypto market and catalysts such as spot Litecoin exchange-traded funds could help LTC go higher.

Litecoin (LTC) is trading at $112, about 2% up in the last 24 hours, but in the red over the past week and month time frames.

Meanwhile, the 24-hour trading volume of $694 million is more than 22% down on the previous day as top altcoins look to bounce.

As LTC price drops towards the $110 level, can bulls hold onto gains or is the altcoin poised for a revisit of the psychological $100 mark and lower?

Litecoin price forecast: Is LTC set for a revisit of $90 next?

Litecoin price has broken below the middle line of an ascending channel pattern. Price at $112 suggests a broader crypto pullback could accelerate LTC’s dip to support at $100 and possibly to $90.

The technical indicators on the daily chart support a likely flip lower, with RSI and MACD giving sellers the upper hand.

    Litecoin Price
    Litecoin chart by TradingView

Open Interest has also dropped slightly, down to $994 million from the record highs of $1.27 billion hit recently as LTC spiked.  OI in Litecoin futures does notably remain higher than the lows of $800 million seen in early August.

A break above $120 could thus allow bulls to test the upper channel barrier near $140 and aim for the psychological $200 mark.

While the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator shows a bearish crossover from mid-August and prints red histogram bars, a mixed setup has other indicators signaling potential resilience.

For instance, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) on the daily chart sits at 46, but is upsloping to suggest buyers could keep off a fresh dip towards the oversold territory.

If RSI pops above the neutral point of 50 and market conditions align, LTC could see the above scenario play out.

What could help Litecoin price higher?

Network growth, including a significant hashrate spike, suggests confidence in the proof-of-work coin.

This and market sentiment point to a scenario where bulls ride the overall crypto uptick in the coming months to drive higher.

The upcoming approval of spot ETFs, with Litecoin among those with notable high odds of a nod, add to this outlook.

In this case, the SEC’s October 2025 decisions on spot Litecoin ETFs from Grayscale, Bitwise, and CoinShares, which carry a 90% approval probability, per Bloomberg analysts, could be huge catalysts.

Experts say a SEC approval for LTC spot ETFs could drive institutional inflows of up to $500 million in Litecoin at launch, printing the trajectory that saw Bitcoin’s price rally to new highs in early 2024.

  • NEO price dips 7% as Binance ends support for Neo Legacy Network

NEO price dips 7% as Binance ends support for Neo Legacy Network

NEO price dips 7% as Binance ends support for Neo Legacy Network

    • The exchange has confirmed plans to halt deposits and withdrawals on Neo Legacy.
    • The phase-out will begin on August 25, with a complete shutdown scheduled for October 15.
    • NEO has plummeted amidst community uncertainty.

The digital assets landscape endured a bloodbath on Monday as the global crypto market cap plunged 3.27% in the past day to $3.89 trillion.

While most assets reflect bear dominance, NEO suffered the most after Binance confirmed it would end support for Neo Legacy.

Starting August 25, the leading exchange will no longer support asset deposits through the NEO network and will halt withdrawals by October 15.

Moreover, Binance will not credit any deposits made after the deadline.

    The announcement magnified NEO’s decline.

The alt lost around 7.62% from $6.5012 to an intraday low of $6.0058.

    Affected tokens

The halt decision will impact three key assets: NEO, NeoGas (GAS), and Kepple (QLC).

While GAS and NEO holders can use other Binance-supported platforms to transact, Kepple investors encounter a harsher situation.

The exchange has advised holders to cash out all QLC before the October 15 deadline. The team emphasized:

It is strongly recommended for users holding QLC tokens to withdraw their remaining tokens before 2024-10-15 08:00 (UTC), as transfer of assets will cease after the shutdown.

    What prompted Binance’s decision

The leading trading platform is known for delisting projects that do not meet certain standards.

However, Neo Legacy’s case is different.

Binance emphasized that the platform’s transition into a more advanced version, Neo N3, triggered the suspension.

The Neo Legacy team announced the network’s shutdown in April to focus on the advanced platform “designed to replace Neo Legacy.”

    The official announcement read:

As part of our commitment to advancing Neo’s technology and focusing our efforts on the future, we have made the decision to sunset the Neo Legacy Network.

Meanwhile, Binance’s notice stirred the markets as it formalized the end of Neo’s older system.

However, the suspension could be a necessary step as handling two active platforms often fragments user activity and liquidity.

Focusing on Neo N3 might form a cleaner ecosystem that can bolster adoption in the coming times.

    What’s next for investors

With the deadlines somewhat tight, Neo Legacy users may have to consider three primary things.

Firstly, any deposit completed to Binance via Neo Legacy after August 25 will lead to asset loss.

Secondly, the exchange will suspend withdrawals entirely on October 15.

Lastly, enthusiasts should watch the native token’s performance.

NEO could plummet further to test key price levels as investors seek clarity.

    NEO price outlook

The alt exhibits significant bearishness at $6.06.

NEO attempts to recover from earlier losses, but indicators signal sellers’ dominance.

The 3H MACD and RSI confirm that bears control of NEO’s trajectory as they depict waning momentum.

Moreover, the current broad market bias suggests further price dips for NEO.

Flare, Bittensor and Ondo Finance are among top gainers in the cryptocurrency market’s top 100 by market cap.

The altcoins, which have soared between 17% and 28% in the past 24 hours, have benefitted from the broader market’s reaction to US president Donald Trump’s tariff pause. Notably, FLR, TAO and ONDO are rising as Bitcoin (BTC) seeks a fresh leg up after bouncing to above $82k.

Will BTC hold gains above $80k?

Bitcoin continues to show resilience as it eyes a key support level amid a broader market upswing.

The leading cryptocurrency currently shows a 24-hour gain of 6.5%, trading near $82,000, with a 24-hour trading volume of $76.2 billion. With this metric up 38%, it reflects strong market participation as investors look to buy the recent dip.

A look at technical indicators shows the Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 47, while the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) suggests a potential bullish crossover. If the MACD line moves above the signal line, it would hint at likely upward momentum.

    BTC chart by TradingView

As noted above, crypto mirrored stocks as markets reacted higher on news of President Trump pausing proposed tariffs. It’s a move that Mohamed A. El-Erian, in a CNBC interview, came as the Fed came close to intervening amid market malfunction. It helped risk assets.

However, Arthur Hayes, in an X post, cautioned that while the tariff pause might boost short-term sentiment, underlying economic uncertainties could still pressure BTC if global liquidity tightens.

    FLR price outlook

Flare (FLR) emerged as one of the top gainers in the early hours on Thursday, soaring 27% over the past 24 hours to trade at $0.015.

dtcpay to phase out BTC, ETH support amid services shift

    • dtcpay has announced that it will be shifting its payment services to stablecoins only effective 2025
    • The Singapore-based platform will phase out Bitcoin and Ethereum by the end of the year

Singapore-based payment institution dtcpay will no longer be supporting Bitcoin and Ethereum as payment modes.

The licensed payment platform said the move will be effective in 2025, according to a report from Fintech News. It only intends to support stablecoins and fiat currency payment modes.

The move focuses more on the stability of stablecoins and fiat currency rather than the volatile nature of crypto. Business operators and consumers are also assured of a more secure payment mode and in line with the country’s regulations.

dtcpay eyes stablecoins in services pivot

In its announcement, dtcpay mentioned that there will be a paradigm shift come January 2025. Announcing its cancellation for accepting Bitcoin and Ethereum, it intends to accept stablecoins USDT, USDC, Worldwide USD (WUSD), and First Digital USD (FDUSD) among others.

dtcpay’s decision comes amid an increased trajectory that has seen the regulated digital payments provider’s users lean towards stablecoins. The growth is what the company is looking to tap into, with digital payments seen as the new frontier in revolution that’s crypto.

Stablecoins make a huge chunk of this, with a Chainalysis report for Q2, 2024 indicating that the asset-backed tokens accounted for an estimated $1 billion in payments.

dtcpay’s strategic move is a strong indicator of the need for a stable and most reliable way of digital payment.

The platform’s good record in innovation, progressive growth in the digital world and different accolades has seen it become a darling to businesses.

In October 2024, the payment platform, and the only Asia-based company, was picked for the Mastercard Starter Path programme. It also became the first to launch a regulated POS in Singapore enabling business owners to accept crypto payments.

    • A dovish Fed may trigger even more strength

Cryptocurrency investors may have been disappointed by the lack of volatility during the summer months—after all, Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency, only consolidated levels.

But one should keep in mind that Bitcoin rallied strongly in 2023. It returned over 61% in the trading year, and the bias remains bullish.

The bullish perspective is even more obvious if one looks at the yearly returns of Bitcoin. Since 2010, only in three years did Bitcoin deliver negative returns.

Buying the dip seems to have worked every time, even though the dips were quite scary.

Will the Fed’s decision boost Bitcoin?

Tomorrow, the Federal Reserve of the United States (Fed) is expected to hold the funds rate steady. As always, the details in the FOMC Statement and the press conference will move markets.

Higher inflation than the Fed’s target was the main cause of rising interest rates. Now that inflation comes down from its highest levels, the Fed may feel comfortable that it will reach the target in a timely manner.

Therefore, a dovish Fed would trigger weakness in the US dollar and strength for Bitcoin.

The technical picture also favors more Bitcoin strength. The market bounced twice from $25k and now trades above $27k. A dovish Fed would send Bitcoin back to the $30k resistance area with big chances to move even higher.

Bitcoin touches $23k support as stocks fall on hot PCE data

    • Bitcoin and crypto prices fell as markets reacted to January PCE data.
    • The Fed’s favourite inflation measure came in hot, jolting markets lower with S&P 500 declining nearly 1.4% and Dow dropping about 400 points.
    • Crypto analyst Rekt Capital says BTC price remains in positive territory as long as bulls hold support above $23k.

Bitcoin price continues to struggle after the rejection from the $25k resistance, but today’s dip comes as the market reacts to hotter-than-expected Personal Consumer Expenditure (PCE) data.

As stocks got whacked on Friday, with the S&P 500 falling nearly 1.5% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropping 400 points, BTC price retreated under $24k to hit lows of $23,130 across major exchanges.

Crypto, Wall Street drops on CPE data

The CPE is the Federal Reserve’s most preferred inflation measure and sentiment has shifted on the latest data release as investor jitters fill up again.

The Fed uses the CPE price index to assess how sharply prices have risen within the US economy, and data shows prices spiked 0.6% in January and 5.4% year-over-year. Core CPE also came in hot, at 4.7% against the forecast 4.3% to suggest inflation remains an issue.

Inflation remains too high. We’re going to have to do more to get back to 2%,” said Cleveland Federal Reserve President Loretta Mester. “I see a little more impetus in the inflation measures than my colleagues. We’re going to have to bring interest rates above 5% and hold there for a time,” she added during an interview with CNBC.

    Bitcoin price outlook

The reaction on Wall Street also cascaded into the crypto market, with BTC price declining below a key support line recently highlighted as a “confluent support zone.” The uncertainty around the Fed’s interest rates saw most stocks scorched in early trades, a scenario also replicated in crypto with Ethereum dropping below $1,600.

For Bitcoin’s short-term price outlook, popular crypto trader and analyst Rekt Capital says bulls could remain in control if BTC holds above $23k. However, a bearish outlook would materialize if price breaks lower.

BTC Weekly retest of the confluent area that is the Lower High and Monthly Range High resistance is now in progress. Price needs to hold here for the retest to be successful. However, Weekly Close below this area would be a bearish sign,” the analyst noted.
